- I use my own telnet for windows. It emulates VT100. No guarantees though.
- This version is available as is and it is not likely to be improved any time
- soon. It has 4000 rows dynamic scrollback, that is, looking at the scrollback
- doesnt freeze the screen updating. Has clipboard cut/paste. Some
- telnet-protocol suport (del, term neg, echo).
- And it is free. Totaly free.
- Available from:
- http://www.lysator.liu.se/~zander/ewan.html (port 80 or 7500)
- or anonymous FTP:
- ftp.lysator.liu.se/pub/msdos/windows/ewan1a.exe

- I believe the problem is the setting for the system type: although
- Microsoft IS using a Windows-NT server for ftp, you have to tell
- Chameleon that it is a UNIX system, otherwise chameleon doesn't
- parse the directory listing correctly and you just see a single file
- bogusly named "group". You probably have to actually change the
- setting in connection profile and save it. Try this... I've done it both
- ways and replicated all of the above sysptoms, but UNIX works.
- Oddly enough Junod's WS_FTP works fine with system type set
- to Windows-NT. Also, Chameleon fails in a similar fashion if you
- try to connect to a KA9Q/NOS type system like biochenistry.cwru.edu
- and I haven't found any workaround for that one, fortunately, WS_FTP
- has this system type listed. If you're still having trouble with Chameleon
- just use WS_FTP with their Newt TCP/IP stack - you might like it
- better anyway.
